Now I'm no more so happy:(
The first tes with 5 MPEGs movie parts about 800 kB - most of them I set 4-times - I got exactly as I wished. But later I tried more times to merge a simple squence of 18 WMV files about 1300 kB each but it failed every time; I got a result file in the according length of not completly 24 MB but it reproduces only the first part of the serie. And more I made some experiments with the first MPEG files and I got no satisfactive results. Either the program merged not every files, sometimes it merged any of them repetely, in one case it merget also a file to it, which it found in the disk but it was not on the list.
But compared to the other video joiners which I tested the reproduction itself is clean and also the cutting points, the picture and colour quality is defectfree - this I can't say about the others. |

problem with downloading: a popup blocker will prevent you from downloading the file...right click to get around... |

Works fine with mpg, mpeg. With wmv or ram, it creates a joined file but only the first part of it will play. |

Well, it does exactly what it is supposed to do, and without some of the errors that other programs have been known to cause.
I only gave it an 8 for a couple reasons.
First off, there is no way to select a list of files; you have to select them all one at a time.
Second, you cannot create or edit profile information at all. These abilities would be really nice.
In addition to these minor omissions, I had to use Download Accelerator Plus in order to properly download the file.
With these complaints, one might think I would score it noticeably lower than 8. However, this is not really supposed to be a really involved program. Its functions are very simple but they do the job they are supposed to do. Also, the program installs nicely and has help information, among other things.
As for the need for DAP to actually get the file, I don't see that as a problem with the program, but a problem with the host. |
