| 2004-03-14 | Desktop Scout | 1 | BEWARE! If you download the 30-day trial, you will NOT BE ABLE TO UNINSTALL this program without purchasing it. Meanwhile, your whole system will get gummed up, and if you save the data on your hard drive, kiss your hard drive goodbye. You'll never be able to delete all those screen shots, keyboard strokes, etc. This is a NASTY TRICK by GlobalPatrol, because after the trial period, you won't be able to uninstall w/o buying the product. Meanwhile, Desktop Scout keeps logging your keystrokes, taking snapshots, etc. and basically hogging your hard drive with a hidden file you'll never be able to delete unless you buy! WORSE THAN A VIRUS! Eventually, your whole hard drive will be filled with all those logged files and you can't do anything about it! BEWARE. Desktop Scout hogged 20 gigs before I finally gave up and reformatted. Definately not worth the hassle. BEWARE! |
