Jamieson, Windows media player is NOT Windows Media Format Runtime.
MingLiChu2, Bac78, It happens when you skip installing "Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime" files during instalation of X Video Converter. Please REINSTALL X Video Converter and select YES when you are required to install "Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime files"! Thank you.

Cantwell, I think maybe you were converting a very big file. Be patient. Any convertion tool works like that. But I really don't know why it always crashs on your winxp. It works fine on mine. :)

Installed everything (even WMFR) but when I click Ok after 7 second delay the window disappears & nothing else happens. Can't rate a program I can't open.

We've upgraded X Video Converter. Now it works well on win98. In X Video Converter 2.01 the new possibility of converting AVI, MPEG, WMV/SWF to pictures and extracting audio from video movies is added.

This converts OK on my system. However, the resulting mpg I wanted to create was 171% larger in file size and I can't even adjust parameters.

Neat and efficient program, doing all I needed from it. If you are
still in the development stage there is one little button that would be neat to
have on the file selection window or the main window, a button to call media
player to make a quick view of the clip to check if the right one has been
selected and that the conversion has worked. It would save a little time and be
useful.

No conversion properties chachges after adding a file.
Inserts Shareware info into movies
So for me not worth trying any longer.

I used the demo software and it did as advertised easily and quickly. Having to set the profile parameters for each file is a bit of a pain when one is converting a bunch of files with the same parameters, a same as previous option would be good but other than that it looks good, keep up the good work.

I haven't tried support, and I probably won't bother. Same isse as bear. I pick the file, get all settings ready, hit start, program crashes/closes. Worthless as is.
