Express Dictate is a computer based voice recorder that works like a dictaphone and a dock station for a portable recorder. You dictate using your computer or a portable dictaphone or notetaker and send your recordings to your typist or assistant by email, the internet or over your computer network. Express Dictate can dramatically improve the turn around time for work and, most importantly, lets you work from wherever you want. As long as you have access to a computer with email, you can dictate from where you are - even overseas.
Express Dictate uses state of the art digital audio processing and compression technology to record and transmit the audio. It also includes features such as automatic editing and voice activated recording. Express Dictate will also keep track of the progress of work and the expected completion time.
You can also use your existing portable dictaphone or notetaker while you are away from your computer. The Express Dictate Transfer from Portable Dictaphone/Notetaker (Dock) feature lets you transfer the dictation quickly and easily and send it to your typist or assistant via the internet or your computer network.

Service and company's response to help requests are non-existent!
The Swift Sound download web site had problems while purchasing and registering software and charged me for a Silver service contract of $8.00. I contacted Swift Sound about this and after several attempts and threats they contacted me one week later to tell me that because the service contract was elected during my registration whether accidentally or not they were not going to adjust the charges to my credit card even after the threats of submitting my negative rating to Download.com. If this company does not care about their own reputation how much less do they care about your needs? And of course, that's just the attitude I got from them!
I would not recommend any product from Swift Sound based on their hard nose attitude towards their customers. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and they credited my card the $8.00.
You also have to rely on the company staying in business as every time you install or re-install their software, you need to re-register the software at their web site to get an up to date product key. If you don't do this, you will not be able to install and run their software.
And whoever heard of a service contract for a software program? I think they call it Help Files! |
